Horary astrology is an ancient branch of astrology that answers questions by using the time of birth of a question, rather than the birth of a person.
Typical questions are about financial investments, career issues, relationships, family matters, conflicts, lawsuits, even lost objects or missing people.
Charts are cast for the time and place of the question.
The horary chart is the astrological picture of the situation as a whole with a focus on the real question.
Planetary significators reveal their true meanings, relating with persons, events or situations inquired about, offering therefore a correct and detailed perspective.
The method or manner everyone ought to observe that inquires of an astrologer: which is, that when he intends to take an artist's judgement of things past, present, or to come, he should first, with a devout spirit, pray unto the Lord, from whom proceeds the success of every lawful enterprise, that he would grant him the knowledge of those things of the truth of which he would be resolved; and then let him apply himself to the astrologer with a serious intent of being satisfied in some certain and particular doubt, and this is not on trifling occasions, or light sudden emotions, much less on matters bas or unlawful, as many ignorant people used to do; but in matters of honest importance, and such as have possessed and disturbed his mind for the space of a day and night or longer; unless in sudden accidents which admit not of delay. (as taught by Guido Bonatti - 12th century)
17th century, british astrologer, William Lilly is now regarded as the principal authority in horary astrology. To many of his contemporaries though, he was seen as a prophet.
The classic text , 'plain and easie Method for any person... to learn the Art.. without any other Master than my introduction' is William Lilly's 17th century compendium Christian Astrology, a three volume epic running into 832 pages of highly detailed information.
It is the cosmos that asks the question, to which we must make a human response.
Answering specific questions based on a chart of the time of the question.
To ask a horary question, you need to formulate your question in a sentence. Clarity is very important. Take your time creating your question.
